First, prepare your sticks. They need to be green, so that they are nice and bendy (now is a great time to give your fruit trees a prune!) and about 30cm long is a manageable length to work with.

Take a few sticks and start securing them to the hoop with small lengths of gold wire. Twist the wire to secure.

Step 2:

Keep going in this fashion – when you have 6 or so sticks secured, you can start weaving new sticks in and out. Secure with more wire if you need to, otherwise find gaps that they can be wedged into. Keep building, and shape your wreath so the bottom has more sticks to create a lunar shape.

Step 3:

Use your wire to create a small ‘basket’ for the crystal by wrapping a few times around the middle, and over and under. Create a little hoop that you can thread the embroidery thread through. Hang these from the top of the wreath shape.

Next, create a web for the wreath – I tied some embroidery thread to a needle, then weaved it in and out of the wreath until I had created a sparkling central web.

That’s the hard work done, now decorate your beautiful boho wreath with flowers, and hang it somewhere everyone can see it, for maximum good vibes… and plenty of compliments on your crafty handiwork!
