DIY Textured clay vase technique

Hello friends. I hope you’re having a great weekend so far. Today my friends and I are excited to share with you so me budget friendly fall decor ideas.
I’ll start by showing you this super easy DIY textured vase technique. It’s not a new technique but it’s seen a little insurrection because of Tiktok.

All you need is some baking powder or baking soda…

Some old vases. I got these from the thrift store…

Mix the baking powder with the paint of your choice until it makes a thick mousse like texture…

Apply it to your vase and let it dry. You might need two coats. The more baking powder you use, the more texture you’ll get.

Pottery is very trendy at the moment but with this easy technique you can achieve the look without spending very much. Notice how the DIY vases mix nicely with the two ‘real’ pieces I bought.

One of the easiest way to bring fall in, is to go outdoors and forage some branches, some grasses and make a pretty little display.

I used them here on the table and I think they look so cute. You can find this tablescape HERE.

Below are more gorgeous fall ideas from my talented friends. A huge thank you to my friend Kristen for putting this beautiful hop together.
